Sectoral partnerships for the development of qualifications system (Lifelong learning programme)

The goal of the project is effective organisation of sectoral partnership for the purpose of qualifications system development.

The project focuses on investigating good practices of sectoral partnerships in qualifications system formation and development abroad; transfer of good experience for sectoral professional committees and KPMPC; strengthening of international cooperation of institutions responsible for qualifications system development.

Lithuania is moving from system of VET standards for one qualification to sectoral qualification standards covering main sectoral qualifications at 8 levels of Lithuanian qualifications system. Newly established SPC will act as cooperation platform for VET, HE, business and employers organisations representatives to ensure that our qualifications system would be in place to deliver needed skills and qualifications at the national level.

Project activities – 2 mobility visits of VET professionals, managers, personnel managers to Estonia’s and France’s sectoral bodies and institutions supervising/ cooperating with these bodies.

Products of the project – report of good practices abroad and proposals for applicability of good practice for work of SPC in Lithuania and their effective management.

Duration of the project – June 2012 to May 2013.
